WMDX-LP 107.5 Middlesex Community College

This is a far cry from what things were like there in the late 80's...

http://www.middletownpress.com/gene...esex-community-college-opens-new-media-center

and since I first thought this was another WSAM type of thing, I looked it up at the usual place (especially since it's taking up 107.5!)...

I say good for them, now the janitors can't shut off the station when they don't like the music anymore.

(But did they have to get 107.5? How am I supposed to brag about how good my car stereo is when traveling around the area if all I get is Middletown when I used to get WBLS NYC, WFCC Chatam Mass and Frank FM in Portland Maine?)

I'm not getting any trace of it in New Britain's south end. Then again, I never get anything on 107.5 FM here anyways. Maybe (maybe!) a trace of WBLS-FM once a week, but that's it.

OK...the FCC map says the transmitter is in Portland, CT. Any reason why it's not in Middletown itself?

It's still a construction permit, they aren't on the air as of my last check.

Location is a bit odd, they aren't even close to reaching the college according to that map.
