Duluth Tops Music Over Air Today
The Duluth Symphony Orchestra, under the baton of Paul Lemay, will broadcast a concert of classics over NBC-KGA from 8 to 8:30 tonight. Mrs. Victor H. Anneke, pianist, will be guest artist.
Richard Crooks, Metropolitan Opera tenor, returns as featured soloist in the program broadcast by William Daly's orchestra over NBC-KHQ from 8:30 to 9 tonight from NBC Studios in Radio City, New York. His solos will include "Come Where My Love Lies Dreaming," "Parted" and an aria from "La Tosca." Margaret Speaks, soprano, will be heard in several duets with the artist.
"The Road to Fame," the first big amateur hour originating on the Pacific Coast, will make its bow over Columbia-KFPY at 8:30 tonight.
"Six-Gun Justice," dramatic series, will deal with cattle rustling in California in the early days in tonight's episode over Columbia-KFPY from 5 to 5:30. Western ballads and music by Robinson's Buckaroos will provide background.
Wayne King's orchestra will offer favorite American waltzes over Columbia-KFPY from 6 to 6:30 tonight.
Helen Dundee of Spokane will present "Piano Sentimentalities" over KWSC this evening at 5:30. "Thoughtful Planning for Buffet Suppers and Party Luncheons" will be discussed this morning at 11.
