WNSX @ 97.7 Becomes Star 977

WNSX has changed its name to Star 977. The station as been known in Downeast Maine as WNSX @97 dot 7 since it was born in 2005. The station sweepers have been updated, but the format and slogan remain the same. Wondering if anyone knows the motive for a new name. My first thought was easier name recognition. My next thought was maybe Downeast Maine's newest station, 937 The Wave had some influence. Wondering if this will lead to any music tweaks and perhaps an updated slogan, or secondary positioning statement. It's certainly a very interesting change.
