The new 107X at 107.1 still doesn't come in very well in the central valley of Denver (downtown, I25, DU area, and SW suburbs). They would be better off moving the transmitter closer to Denver and lower the watts.
They cant move any closer due to protection of KQKS and KBPI. Lowering power or elevation requires a downgrade, which reduces the 60dbu contour. The only way to shift the signal would be retaining the elevation of the class C and moving the tower south of the city, due East of Castle Rock. They could also try a booster up North or possibly raise the elevation of their current booster to provide better line of sight coverage. The contour limits are what lill them.
