Technical changes approved for CFEP 105.9 Eastern Passage, Nova Scotia

Dan Sys

Leading Participant
The Seaside Broadcasting organization has received approval to increase the power of CFEP 105.9 (SEASIDE FM) in Eastern Passage, Nova Scotia from 1,680 to 2,443 watts. Antenna height will be raised from 37.6 to 156.8 metres (EHAAT) with the antenna radiation pattern remaining non-directional. The transmitter will be relocated to the existing CBC tower site on Geizer Hill in Halifax.

Newcap had opposed the proposal stating that it seemed like a backdoor entry into the Metro Halifax market, however in the end the CRTC sided with Seaside and approved the changes.
