Casey Kasem Dies At Age 82

Premiere was syndicating the old AT40 shows, so it's probably up to them.
They have continued airing AT40, the '70s, (and '80s in some markets). The only difference is that now the weekly promos, which used to feature Casey's voice, have now been replaced by those featuring their current announcer, the same guy (sorry, don't know his name) who announces the "extras" once an hour during commercial breaks.

Except on Windsor's CKWW....(at least online stream), which still airs a promo with Casey's voice "Hi I'm Casey Kasem, we've been counting down the hits...."

More than a month after Casey Kasem died, his body still has not been burried. It was his wish to be interred at Forest Lawn in Glendale, California. And now.....well, now we don't know where his body is. Apparently Jean Kasem took the body from the funeral home in Tacoma. Daughter Kerri thinks Jean has left the country. Jean is also under investigation for elder abuse. Casey never deserved any of this.

Well, I must say that stealing a body to cover up evidence is pretty strange. "If I steal the body, they'll never know". Body snatching is, as LARR pointed out, probably not the smartest idea she had all day.

Jean is still reaching for her stars...since she is executor of the estate, maybe there is something in the will she does not want made public??? (Or maybe plans to auction off Casey's corpse?? With this nutty woman, I think anything is possible)

At this point it is all a matter of when it catches up. Maybe she just didn't get the memo that it doesn't work the same way in the real world as in Hollywood when a body goes missing, the will thing, etc etc.

There is confusion about the body's present location but not its disappearance. A Washington funeral Home says the body was shipped to Montreal and they confirmed its arrival at the intended destination. However, the Montreal funeral home believed to be the destination does not confirm receipt to media inquirers although Kasem's agent concurs with the Washington funeral home.

Stations carrying American Top 40: 70s or 80s

Since there doesn't seem to be one anywhere on the internet, I thought it would be good to have a list of stations carrying the old reruns of AT40. Here's some that I know about:

The 80s:
96.1 WSRS Worcester, MA
102.3 WSUS Sussex, NJ
92.1 Lite FM Poughkeepsie, NY
Mix 98.9 Youngstown, OH

The 70s:
94.5 3WS Pittsburgh, PA
Oldies 106.1 Youngstown, OH

Anyone know of any others?

Here in my area(Philadelphia), AT40 is on WOGL(Oldies 98.1) on Saturday mornings from 6 to 9 am. The shows are from both the 70's and 80's.

WTIC-FM 96.5 of Hartford runs a 3-hour version of American Top 40 each Sunday at 9 pm ET. They usually start at either #31 or #30, depending on the remaining program length. This past Sunday they ran the same week in 1984.

Hippie Radio 94.5 here in Nashville http://www.hippieradio945.com has AT40 the '70s on Sundays from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Classic hits 'KQK in Memphis www.941kqk.com has AT40 the '80s on Sunday morning from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m. They formerly carried the '70s, but switched to the '80s sometime in the last year or so.

We listen to the '70s countdowns on Sunday evenings from 6:00 to 9:00 online from WUPE in Massachusetts, and just an hour behind that on KABG in New Mexico. All times listed here are central time.

WQMA www.q1520radio.com in Marks, MS, carries the '70s countdown on Saturday afternoons from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. They also carry the retro Rick Dees countdowns, according to their website.
