BYE BYE to Rock on KRDJ

The Last Bastion Station Trust has sold Active Rock “Rock 93.7” KRDJ New Iberia, LA to Bible Broadcasting Network. The sale application has not yet been filed with the FCC, however BBN has filed to convert KRDJ from commercial to non-commercial status with a main studio waiver to have the station serve as a repeater of BBN’s 930 WYFQ Charlotte, NC. KRDJ serves both the Baton Rouge and Lafayette markets with its 100kW ant 296 meter signal originating halfway between the two markets. The divestiture trust has held the station for nearly seven years since being formed in 2007 following then Citadel Broadcasting’s acquisition of ABC Radio from Disney. The trust still holds 102.1 KOKY and 102.5 KPZK-FM in the Little Rock market and 105.3 KINB in the Oklahoma City market.
