No. You read it wrong. The Station is almost History. The Petition for Recon. -- was denied. One more try open at the Commission and than -- it's gone. Looks like some bad legal advice and not filing the needed information on time is what caused the FCC staff to turn thumbs down on the station.

Kay Slick is toast. When audio chief Peter Doyle says he is sympathetic to your health issues then goes on to mention the fcc has never used that as a factor for reconsideration you are history.

Gone.

"Station operations - three months after its license had expired - it did so with unauthorized facilities. We
therefore find that an exercise of our discretion is not warranted."

HA HA!

Way to rub it in.

Who on earth is using Jim's old call for their Name on here lol.

Looks like the Avenal Educational - KZAV is GONE. The Huron 98.3 A is still not back on the air -- and KMEN Mendota - 100.5 A is now silent -- becuse of a lack of cash and no studio/programming. The 88.5 A has "nothing to sell". They never really built out the station -- other than to get a license. (KZAV then took down the entire transmitting system). The Huron - Riverdale 98.3 --has long been up for sale -- with no one willing to pay the HIGH asking price. KMEN may also be "on the market" without anyone wanting to buy or -- needing to buy a station in the Mendota area.
