While you were gone: Tony Rizzo arrested for "hitting and choking" his wife

http://fox8.com/2014/04/21/sportscaster-tony-rizzo-sentenced/

He eventually plea bargained to a lesser charge and got two years probation and 30-days suspended sentence.

I think what really sickened me at the time was the "statement of support" that Good Karma issued after the initial arrest. I understand that Rizzo is a minority owner of WKNR and that firing him would be next to impossible, but it would have been better if Mel had issued a "we are aware of the situation and are monitoring it" statement instead.

Regardless, hitting a woman is one of the most disgusting things I can think of and any respect I had for Rizzo as a human being is gone at this point. I think even worse for Rizzo is now all of his enemies can call up whenever Tony says something dumb or "controversial" and spew back with 'Hey Tony, what are you gonna do next, hit your wife *click*'.
