LW broadcast from EU strong right now in the NE

Europe coming in strong on longwave right this second here outside Boston.

Using a sangean ats-505

162 France Inter - Allouis FR
183 Europe 1 - Saarland DE
198 BBC 4 - Droitwich UK
207 UNID - prob Deutschlandfunk
216 RMC - Roumoules FR

Wait a minute.....your site says, "All are table top portables using an internal ferrite and telescoping whip. I have not used any added loop antennas for LW/MW."

i'm about 8 miles from the coast which is a big help too.

Nice going, that's one of the tougher ones to catch. I tuned around LW late last night but nothing heard here.

I'm impressed on all the LW as well. Congrats.

Unfortunately I am too far from Europe to get any of the Longwave action. Once I did get a threshold carrier on 162 on a good evening years ago, but that never really worked out - probably was France International!

Nice catches on the ATS-505. I wasn't aware the LW section of that radio was so hot.

Me too. He has a much better longwave reciever than I do, and doesn't live that far away either.
