Two announcements from Larry Wilson today. First, L&L Broadcasting and Alpha Broadcasting will be merging into one company, called Alpha Media. The company will continue to operate out of Portland, OR. Wilson said, "The merger will be the culmination of a long-term plan to ultimately combine the two companies and will allow us to streamline our oversight of all 49 stations to take advantage of the many synergies." However, that number (49) will soon be growing to 68. Wilson also announced that Alpha will be purchasing 19 stations, in five markets, owned by Main Line Broadcasting. Main Line owns stations in Richmond-Petersburg, Louisville, Dayton, Hagerstown and Chambersburg.
