Four Decades of Successful Radio Management Comes to an End

Radio Ink Buzz Stream

Star Participant
Radio has a way of identifying members of its fraternity it is proud of, and a way to identify those it would like to quietly ride off into the sunset with a severance package to keep quiet. Don Bouloukos fits into the first category. Bouloukos has been a GSM, a General Manager, a VP of Operations and a Co-COO. He's worked in, or has had management responsibilities for, nearly every major market in the country. And he's been on Radio Ink's Most Powerful People in Radio list for five years (1999-2003). Today, Bouloukos is receiving nothing but accolades from radio colleagues after announcing he'll be retiring in June, having logged 41 successful years in the business. Former Co-COO at American Radio Systems John Gehron said of his friend, "Don is a true radio professional. I was fortunate to have worked and learned from him from our WLS days to American Radio Systems and then CBS. He has left a successful imprint on every radio station he's worked."
