News from the Wilmington Radio Market

Two interesting news items from the Wilmington Radio Market, as of now, Sunrise Broadcasting has acquired retransmission rights to 95.9 FM from Hometown Wilmington Media and is broadcasting WMFD, ESPN AM 630, which means this area has a FM Sports Signal for the first time, i often wonder if this frequency will be allowed to go full power?, i would like to see this happen.
Also, Curtis Media Group, based in Raleigh, has purchased a low-power CP at 94.9, licensed to Ogden, from a Wisconsin Based Non-Profit for $10,000, is this company putting together a network?, they have already bought LPFM's in Charlotte, parts of the Triad & Triangle, and now Wilmington, what format will evolve?, stay tuned.
