103.9 WRCN on Long Island flips to "Christmas Radio"

103.9 WRCN on Long Island just flipped from a Rock music format to "Christmas Radio" at 5 PM today, with a new format to be launched on December 26th. The DJs talked for a few minutes before the change was made, and I believe they said the new format would be all-news, but they only mentioned it briefly. The last song played was "Golden Slumbers/Carry That Weight" by the Beatles.
