CBS Radio & WestwoodOne launch "Fierro"

It's a 24/7 Regional Mexican format that's based out of CBS-owned KMVK ("La Grande") in Dallas--to the point where it will, according to the press release, incorporate "the station's on-air personalities". Of course, unless something major happens, Cumulus will inherit the deal.

The full press release is at http://www.westwoodone.com/index.php...-launch-fierro.

With all due respect, I'm not impressed. The air staff will be from La Grande 107.5 in Texas. Bad? No, but nothing earth-shattering.

I wonder how that syndication offering is doing. In the just-released book, KMVK is being beaten in 18-49 and 25-54 by KLNO, KNOR and KZZA.
