best id's and liners

When San Diego's Q106 was on the air in the 1980s and 1990s, they used to make fun of the city's official motto in their top-of-the-hour legal ID:

"Serving America's Finest City ... from a dinky little building in Kearny Mesa ... KKLQ AM & FM, San Diego's Q106!"

After that started wearing on everyone's nerves, they substituted "from our broadcast palace in Kearny Mesa", with the boldfaced words in a tone of voice dripping with sarcasm.
 
Didn't Gary Owens at one time do a break that KMPC was heard on more radios...than any other appliances?

I never heard him say it, but it sure sounds like something he would have.
