Just saw this on the news. A fire broke out in the grassy field on the KLOK property this afternoon. It appears to have surrounded the western tower. Came close to damaging the homes west of KLOK. No word on damages to the tower or connection (but looked pretty burned).

Doesn't KLOK have a plack or monument that claims that the site is the location of the first radio station in San Jose ??
The plaque at KLOK commemorates its 25th anniversary in 1971, not that it was the first station in San Jose:

Thank you for the correct information. However -- I can't pass up the fact that they missed the 50th year. But they only have 8 more years until they turn 75.
