INXS, "Need You Tonight"/"Mediate"

They segue into each other on the Kick LP,
Yeah, I already knew that. I said that at the top of this thread. It apparently was never serviced to stations as a "twofer," thus never really played as one, except on AAA, and maybe some AOR stations.
I'm pretty sure Mediate isn't on the flip side of the stock 45. Gotta pull it out to confirm. As for the Queen "We Will Rock You", it was the B side on the stock 45 and was segued together on a AOR promotional 12". Both "We Will Rock You" and "We Are The Champions" were serviced on separate promo 45's
I have always thought that "Mediate" (like "We Will Rock You") was a little too short to be a "standalone" song. It is more of a "supporting" song. Seems like when the "supporting" song comes AFTER the "main" song, it is often NOT played. Seems like the "supporting" song has to come BEFORE the "main" song (usually the one released as the A-side single) in order to get played.
