Equivalent Power Formula

Radio Pro 1 said:
Anyone know the formula to figure equivalent power for FM? Example; 100 watts at 475 feet = ? equivalent power. Thanks

A rough approximation is that if you double the HAAT but do not change the location at all, you have to cut the ERP by a factor of four to maintain the coverage. IOW, the allowable ERP decreases ROUGHLY as the square of the HAAT. But there is a lot more to it than what I just wrote.
