What is it there to listen on Argentine radio?

Just for fun, I decided to compile and translate to English the schedules for today -February 18th, 2013- of the most important AM stations from Buenos Aires (AM and FM are equally as strong in audiences in Argentina). If this post proves to be liked by anyone, I might decide to compile the programming for the FMs.

Thanks for the listing, that's very interesting. It seems you have quite a few sports programs / stations in the Buenos Aires metro area.

Do any of these stations have a regional or national audience, or are they mainly heard in Buenos Aires only?

590, 630, 710, 790, 870, 910, 950 and 1030 have affiliates all over the country, though the only station with truly national reach is 870 - LRA1 Radio Nacional. The others are indie stations.

Thanks for posting both of the bandscans, Eduardo -- they are very interesting!

Periodic nighttime MW bandscans in the DX section would also be cool. Most of us DXers in the US and other parts of N. America would find them interesing.

I find the tango-only station interesting. Does it receive very good ratings?

Thanks for your comments! I'll try to make a nighttime MW scan someday - my Sony receiver has pretty good sensibility.
The tango station is a niche station mostly, since it seems tango is mostly listened by mature people only. However, since it's a public station, it's in no danger of dissapearing anytime soon ;)

Twice I went to Buenos Aires, and both times ( 1990s) there was an AM that played tangos ALL DAY long daytimes and nights.
I remember one sleepy security guard, who listened to it all day long at the place I worked.
I brought home some tango cassettes, and several of the Portena Jazz Band.
