Radio Anna on 87.9 FM

Hey Guys, I was driving home from Medford last night around 10 PM and heard a faint station on 87.9 FM. They were playing oldies/classic hits music. The first song I heard was Baby Elephant Walk followed by an ID (The Station With The Best Music, Your listening to Radio Anna on 87.9 FM), then into Hot Stuff by Donna Summer. Does anyone know anything about this station or where its from? Thanks!

Around Christmas they had a promo with a young girl claiming to be Anna. It's probably her father operating the pirate... Way to raise your children to respect the laws of the land.

I heard them again last night on my way home from work. It was tough to hear as B87 (formally Hot 97) was bleeding all over them but for the short time I was able to pick them up the station was enjoyable to listen to and the production was great. There was even a teenager (presumably Anna herself) talking in between the songs and thanking people for listening. I wish I could find out more information on this station but sadly there is nothing online about it.

Heard the station again this morning briefly while heading into Boston. Great mix of music and the production is great! I wish I could find out who it is as i'd love to find out more about this station and possibly get the guy to do some promos for my radio show. He has a great radio/voice over voice! If anyone knows anything please PM me on here or email me at: [email protected]. Thanks! :)

You can probably find out when, or if, the FCC issues a Notice of Unauthorized Operation notice to them.

(Examples of pirates which can include FCC NOUOs, newspaper articles etc)

For example there is a link to a Bos Globe article

>>Investigators traced the transmitter to Rutland Street after the Federal Aviation Admin*istration reported in *October that a possible un*licensed station, later identified as 91.7, was interfering with a frequency it uses to speak with pilots flying in the Boston area, the affidavit stated. Despite repeated warnings issued to Pamphile, her nephew, Gregory Pamphile, and other residents at 9 Rutland, the station continued to broadcast from there,

This site also has info on low power/unauthorized etc
