HOT 107.1 now stunting as Pot 107.1

I really could not believe this when I seen it, thought it was a joke but apparently Denver's Pot 107.1 is a real thing! Looks like 107.1 has dropped the dance format and is stunting as "Pot 107.1." The station's Wikipedia page says that the stunt started on Nov. 30th and will last until 3 PM the following Monday. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KDHT-FM)

I'm not sure if the stunt will be quite that temporary though. According to their website (http://pot1071.com), they actually have DJ's and a few other specials and promotions. Something to certainly keep an eye on.

Here is their Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/Pot1071
Here is the former Hot 107.1 FB page: https://www.facebook.com/hot1071denver

Too bad, I actually liked the Dance format like many of the people posting on the Facebook pages.

How come the Denver board is so slow and inactive? Even the Pot 107.1 post in the Atlanta section has two pages worth of comments so far! I wonder if I could get one started here in Phoenix as well and get more people to respond in Phoenix than the Denver board, where all this is actually happening.

Maybe it's because so few people are listening to 107.1 due to their signal problems. I would have listened more, but they haven't been doing a good job of keeping their booster synchronized to their main signal, so it sounds terrible. Where I am on the NW side of the metro area, the signal has usually been too bad for listening. Their sister station (101.5) usually sounds better up this way, and I do listen to them a lot when they sound decent, but their signal has also been pretty bad in the last several weeks. Whatever format 107.1 tries, I just hope they will clean up their signal so it can be heard decently.

If the station's booster is out of sync, then every format will fail. It might as well be off the air.

I forgot to listen in the car tonight to see what they were doing, but I welcome the return of Jack if that is going to happen. I just hope they do a better job of maintaining their booster so I can get a decent signal. Where I am, Jack from Horsetooth Mtn. was hit and miss, but the closer I got to Golden, the more it just disappeared. 107.1 isn't much better up this way most of the time.

Been asking the same question since I joined R/D (then-R/I). Denver is a sizable enough market to generate more chatter than this thread has now.

Jack is going strong on 107.1 and they have been doing a far better job of keeping the booster synched. It sounds better now than it did most of the time they were Dance on the far NW side. Oddly, it didn't sound good, nor did 101.5, when I was near Santa Fe & Evans a week or so ago. Both should be very clear in that area. It will be interesting to see if they pick up the call sign from 105.5.
