Herrera has been bounced from AM to 7-10 to now AWOL (vaca?). This station is on serious life support, which seems to speak volumes as to how weak Tampa/St. Pete is as an overall sports market
No it doesn't. According to others whom know more than me, WDAE is one of the top rated sports stations in the country.
98.7s problem is:
1.) WDAE is the established sports leader and unlike in other markets where some hosts might be polarizing, most sports listeners tune in to them because their programming...well, other than noon-7 is very entertaining.
2.) USF is the only live local sports team they carry.
3.) 98.7's on air talent leaves a lot to be desired.
