Radio Seoul 1040...gone?

Absense of Korean programming on KURS. Automated Spanish music and ID's proclaiming "AM Stereo" 1040.
Korean programs only began on March 2nd....

I was driving down 30th street in North Park (between University and El Cajon blvd), and I noticed a sign over a driveway "Radio Seoul KSON Sub Carrier" I am assuming that is an old sign. Didn't Arthur Liu's group buy the old KSON-AM 1240???

Los Angeles has several stations broadcasting in Korean, as well as Vietnamese, Mandarin and Cantonese. (There is no "Chinese" spoken language. While everyone uses the same written characters, spoken Mandarin and Cantonese are more different than Spanish and Portuguese).

Anyway, you'd think San Diego could support two Asian stations, 1230 and 1040, considering the growing Asian population.

"Rumors" are that Radio Seoul had cash flow problems....
There are only about 20,000 people in S.D. county that are "Korean". And their children aren't likely
to be interested in Korean language programming; makes for a poor business model.
