Pedro Arroyo, PD of La Zeta in Puerto Rico, creator of the Día Nacional de la Salsa and a friend passed away today in San Juan.

Anyone who knew him and who knows salsa can sing... or listen to... "La Cuna Blanca" and say "hasta pronto" to Pedro.

Through the years I've heard nothing but great things about Pedro Arroyo. When we look back at the iconic figures of Puerto Rican radio history, Pedro Arroyo must rank among the best. RIP, y que viva la salsa!

From Z's own website, here is a little bio and tribute to Pedro from one of the Zeta jocks...
