When did CKMX go to alternative rock? And what exact date did they go standards? I was watching a clip on Youtube about that.
 
Not sure of the exact date, but CKMX went Standards in late December 1995 as I recall. The Alternative Rock format existed for about 1 1/2 years or 2 years before that.
 
They were AM 106 from 1984 to 1992 as a top 40. In the fall of 92 they ran a hot AC format until mid 1993 when they switched to alternative.
