George Burns also hosted "George Burns Comedy Week" in 1985, while Sally Field is now on "Brothers and Sisters" on ABC. And also, you misspelled Celeste Holm's name. It's "Holm", not "Holmes".

And since Ms. Field's regular role on Brothers and Sisters was mentioned, how could anyone in due conscience overlook Rita Moreno's gig on the original 1971-77 version of The Electric Company? Or George Kennedy's starring role in the 1975-76 TV series version of The Blue Knight? Or Jack Palance's Bronk and, later, co-hosting gig of the 1980's version of Ripley's Believe It or Not?

And there was another misspelling: Ronald "Coleman." It should be Colman.

Yul Brynner and John Houseman played the same roles for which
they won an Oscar.

George Kennedy also starred as a priest-turned-cop in the 1971
NBC series "Sarge". It was included in "The Bold Ones" rerun package,
although it was a completely separate series.

Also, apparently a lot of people call Celeste Holm "Holmes"; at least
one contestant on "Hollywood Squares" once did, and Peter Marshall
had to gently remind her that the actress's name is "Holm".

Didn't Sandra Bullock also star in a (short-lived) television series before she made the big time in movies and won an Oscar?

Also, how about Tom Hanks and Kim Basinger?

Walter Brennan won three Best Supporting Actor
awards; the third was in 1940 for "The Westerner".
Only one other male has won three Oscars--the other
is Jack Nicholson, but two of his were for Best Actor.
Katharine Hepburn has them all beat, however, with four.

You forgot about "To Rome With Love" starring John Forsythe and Walter Brennan, on CBS in the early '70's.

And George C. Scott also starred in "Mr. President", On FOX from their Sunday Night line-up when the network first started in 1987.

Did Morgan Freeman win any Oscars? If so, he should also be listed.

In Yul's case, his TV role was for a sitcom based on "The King and I" -- same role, but different genre.

I did see Tom Hanks' name on the list. Kim Basinger
won a Best Supporting Actress Oscar in 1997 for "L.A.
Confidential"; she appeared in the 1977 ABC cop show
"Dog And Cat," which lasted from March 5 to May 14
of that year.

And a couple of really obscure ones: James Dunn, Best
Supporting Actor in 1945 for "A Tree Grows In Brooklyn,"
co-starred in the 1954-56 NBC sitcom "It's A Great Life".
Also, Walter Matthau (Best Supporting Actor, "The Fortune
Cookie" (1966)) had his own syndicated show, "Tallahassee
7000," around 1960.

Morgan Freeman won Best Supporting Actor for "Million Dollar
Baby" in 2004 (and should have had one for "The Shawshank
Redemption," IMHO); he was also once a regular on "The Electric
Company". BTW, I rank him and Tom Hanks as my two favorite
working actors (as opposed to some from the past like Jimmy Cagney
and Humphrey Bogart).

Anybody mention John Mills (Juliet's father)? He won Best Supporting
Actor in 1970 for "Ryan's Daughter"; in 1967 he starred in the short-lived
CBS Western, "Dundee And The Culhane". To this day, no one knows why
the second character in the title was called the Culhane.

Freeman later appeared on Ryan's Hope in 1981, then on Another World from 1982-1984 (this site http://www.igs.net/~awhp/1roy.html has a pic from that show).

Marlee Matlin (Best Actress, 1986):
Reasonable Doubts
Dancing With The Stars (Season 6)
The Celebrity Apprentice (upcoming season)

Hilary Swank (Best Actress, 1999 and 2004):
Camp Wilder

Forest Whitaker (Best Actor, 2006):
The Twilight Zone (2002-03 revival)
Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior (which he's currently on)

Helen Mirren (Best Actress, 2006)
Prime Suspect

And before that, the comedy E/R with Elliott Gould.

Cloris Leachman was also on Dancing With The Stars (Season 7), and at 82, the oldest contestant on there.

Michael Moore (Best documentary Film 2002) starred in "TV Nation" (BBC 2, NBC, FOX) and "The Awful Truth" (Bravo)

Not to be outdone, another contestant once picked Grady to block and referred to him
as "Mayo Whitman." The host again corrected her. Good thing she didn't ask for "the
Best Foods Mayo guy"--everyone east of the Rockies would have been confused! ;D

(And retired MC operators in western markets have nightmares about the cut-ins they forgot to run.)

Unless the contestant came from east of the Rockies or from Canada, in which he would be "The Helleman's Mayo guy" and confuse the west coasters.

Patty Duke also did "Hail To The Chief" (short-lived '80s sitcom about the first woman U.S. president)

Several more...

Marisa Tomei (Supporting Actress, 1992):
As The World Turns

Anna Paquin (Supp. Actress, 1993):
True Blood
Holly Hunter (Best Actress, 1993):
Saving Grace

Susan Sarandon (Best Actress, 1995):
A World Apart (short-lived 1970-71 soap opera)

Geena Davis (Supp. Actress, 1988):
The Geena Davis Show
Commander In Chief

Jane Wyman (Best Actress, 1948):
Falcon Crest

Goldie Hawn (Supp. Actress, 1969):
Rowan and Martin's Laugh-In

Helen Hunt (Best Actress, 1997):
Mad About You (and I remember NBC running a congratulatory promo the following night, if somebody can put it on YouTube)

Karl Malden (Supp. Actor, 1951) and Michael Douglas (Best Actor, 1987):
The Streets of San Francisco

And of course...Ron Howard (Best Director, 2001):
The Andy Griffith Show
Happy Days

Helen Hunt may be an especially unique winner because she got the Oscar and Golden Globe for best lead actress in As Good as it Gets in the same year (1998) she took home the Emmy for best leading actress in a comedy series for Mad About You. She may be the only actress to date to win the top acting triple crown, spanning TV and film, in the same year.
