Over a dozen NPR employees, including some of its well-known personalities, aired long-standing grievances to investigators in NPR's prob of the firing of former analyst Juan Williams about the management style of former NPR news executive Ellen Weiss, particularly how she handled several layoffs and firings in 2008. There is also the possibility that Weiss "had preempted her boss, [NPR chief executive Vivian] Schiller, in telling Williams that he had to go".
