A "Q" Tip For New York Radio?

Tony Quartarone, who runs an urban station in Wilmington, Delaware, is quoted by All Access as "aggressively" looking to "acquire a New York City radio property." It does not say whether it's an existing urban property (Kiss-FM, WBLS) or any other frequency (WRXP) or even a low-power TV station operating on 87.7 FM... I doubt WAXQ is in the mix, though...

Damn, and before clicking on this, I was somewhat excited to see if you posted that Q-Tip from A Tribe Called Quest was gonna do a radio show in NYC. 8)

Can somebody find my wallet? I believe I last saw it in El Segundo... ::)

How is this radio station different from other stations? Does it cater the needs of all age groups?

I find it hard to believe that a small operator like that could but an NYC station.
Maybe he'll find something on the outskirts, like WFAS-FM or WDHA. But that's about the best he can probably afford.
