Why are you gonna replace Dave FM and V-103 with a religious format? One is enough, plus those two stations (especially V-103) should NOT be replaced.

Though, I agree with you on 94.9. Leave country on 101.5 and put smooth AC on 104.7.

Nice atmosphere on that planet.

Why replace one of (if not THE) revenue leaders (103.3) with Christian Contemporary?

No, go take a deep breath again----

Don't you get it? Blowing up the highly rated V103 for a Christian format is a brilliant idea. Just like last year when the World Series Champion Yankees traded Jeter, A-Rod and Rivera for unknown rookies. Moving Oldies to 97.1 is a stroke of genius, I wonder why Cox has never tried it? Since I will be the PD of 92.9 and Jimmy & Mara are Jewish too, I guess the religious format you are looking for is Judaism.

I can tell that musicman3355 (if that is your real name) is no programmer.

I'm with ya XCountry285.

It's interesting that we would have 2 stations called The Beat, and apparently owned by different companies. It's a good thing we have the PPM. That would never work with the diary.

I see we would also have a top-40 station and a CHR station. I wonder what the differences would be. Finally, we would have a "county" station, 104.7. I guess that would be Barrow County since that's where the transmitter is. And undoubtedly the Hawks would be carried by 106.7 The Hawk.

92.9 would also be "The Star." Oy.

Would you sign off from sundown on Friday to sundown on Saturday?

No, you'd hire some shabbos goy. Or, just carry an automated package of klemzer music.

I was thinking of having an all Herman's Hermits and Connie Francis weekend every weekend.

Is this based upon anything even remotely resembling intelligence or reality?

Sorry for the rhetorical question.

Am I to assume you are going to upgrade all the signals to cover all the Market? That would bring a little well needed completion! The loss of the third adjacent could help. Of course it will be used to create more class D’s which IMHO really belong below 92.1.

Also do not “blow up” V103. I do not listen but they are doing something right. IIRC they are one of the few stations that have not had a “massive” change (98.5? and 101.5 too if you count the WBIE days) since the mid 1970’s

B98.5 was WSB "Great 98, all day, all night, all nice" Beautiful Music before about 1982 or so, when they became AC WSB 99FM, and then B98.5 after Cox's famous branding fight with Susquehanna's Warm 100/99.7.

WVEE became the longest continuously running combined format and branding (since about 1977) on a commercial station when CC blew up 96 Rock (which had started in 1974).

If you count format only, country on 101.5 (WBIE/WKHX since the late 1960s or early 1970s) has every other commercial station in ATL beat.

If you include non-coms, WABE beats them all.

You lost me after seeing you change 103.3 from urban contemporary to religious programming. If isn't broke then don't fix it, and in that case that is THE TRUTH.

Neil Millman, all I just hope is that you're being sarcastic... do whatever you want with 92.9 but V-103? They're actually doing something right! ???

please do Nashville next (since you're doing other markets. too)

I must admit, though, I would be very happy if Atlanta radio was like that for the past ten years and even beyond.
I could only imagine....

Lets say it even started out that way and there was never a V-103 and other things as we knew it now. I wonder which of those stations would've successfully lived on throughout the years and what they would sound like today? I wonder if the dance station would've been open to booty bass back in the mid to late 90's and if a lot of freestyle would've been played as well? I could bet if Atlanta had a history in radio being like

then a traditional Rhythmic AC sound could and would be thriving BIG time in Atl today. I just wonder if Atlanta was brought up with that sound and everyone was used to the dial being the norm that way, how would things be right now? What would a Q100 type station be sounding like? What would B98.5 be sounding like? Would there be an R&B or classic hip hop station today? Would the latin rhythm like KXOL or a spanish top 40 survive? Who would compete against B98.5? What if 99X was at 99.7 and Q100 was at 100.5? And what would all those little stations on the frequencies in between 99.7, 100.5, 101.5, 102.5, 97.5 and 98.5...etc be? Any reggae? Rhythmic Oldies? International sounds? Information or talk?
