I saw this on another board, and thought to post here for discussion...
''...I have always made well over 65K producing a morning show and they were all in markets 4 and below. I personally know of one friend that was making 225K for a show here in LA, another makes well over 125K. I'm currently getting over 75K now and it's not even a top 5 market. What are you guys bringing to the table?..."
To begin to make...oh, let's say...$75K per year, what does a reasonable candidate need?:
a thick "Rolodex"?
(expert) computer-based audio editing skills?
equipment?
Most "good" producers I've known had passion and desire. I've known very few that had any previous experience, and didn't need to learn other skills. Hence, their wages were very low.
