Okay, so finally after getting my username reversed I'm back up and running.Got to take a minute and ask how things are going with radio down on the Coast.Seems like we hear all the time about Jackson stations, but notta when it comes to radio south of there. Even if it is just status quo, I'd enjoy hearing about it.THANKSQID937 formely 937QID

;D Alive and well...nice and competitive. 97.9 WCPR welcomes back DENVER CRABB this Monday night...
Weerdo, thanks for the reply! Sounds like yall have a CPR reunion in the works with the return of Kenny Vest and The Crabb. I remember as a teenager back in the 90s how you guys ran CPR up as major player in the ratings. Hope the return of these personalities helps give you all the boost your looking for.BTW visited the HANK-FM website for the first time yesterday, whoever created it did a good job.Oh, and on a final note, being today is the alleged end of the road for WRNO, it wouldn't be right for me to not thank you for helping to make RNO the "Rock of New Orleans" we all remember!

You were a teen "back in the 90's"?????? LOL I was teen back in the 70's! I remember 94 WQID's best DJ back then was a fellow by the name of Ron Silver. Not sure if that was his real name or not, but man was he a great dj! In fact besides Reverend Red, I can't think of another name from the coast and that time (Reverend being a jock for the 80's that I worked with at Papa's Honky Tonk) We use to own a house in Gulfport just 100 yards from the beach. We now own a vacant lot! Thanks Katrina! Man I hope all is well there in my home stomping grounds. I miss that place!

It was Don Silver and his real name was Charles Patterson. I worked with him at QID. Saw the Reverend Red last month when I was on the Coast to move my wife back to NOVA. He's still Collins (Red) and told me he's suing someone over getting his ass kicked at the Grand Casino Disco. Not sure what that's all about!

Yes!!! I meant DON! LOL Type-o Sorry! Well I hate ole Red is having trouble! I remember the night he announced to a full house at Pappa's that his contract ran out at midnight and the ownership refused to sign a new one. So he turned off the music, grabbed his bag of records and left! LOL Everyone just watched in amazement! I was DJing at Panama's Lounge in Pascagoula that night (owned by the same company) and got an ear full when I returned to Biloxi after work. Reverend Red taught me a lot about club DJing......not all of it was good! LOL

I was one of the "original" Club DJ's on the Coast. Started at 2001 in Biloxi, moved to Amelia's and the Sports Page, Bennie French's, Saturday's and others. Great fun, but a young man's job. I don't think Collins will ever grow up and that's good!

Collins is THAT good too! One of the best I've met. He has a gift for gab that I've tried my best to emulate! ;)I'm a Reverend Red Fan. By the way, I use to go to Amillia's too! Bombays and Venus as well. But my favorite place was Fiesta! My step brother DJ'd there a while. (Back when they played songs off 8-track!) So beer was free!
