Olympics coverage.

OK, clear something up for me. I know that rights to Olympic coverage are usually exclusive. SO how come 1010, which to my knowledge, has only aired the nightly recap every day, is known as the home of the Olympics while the Animal is airing US Hockey games, sometimes on tape-delay so that they don't have to air Andrew Siciliano between 7-10?

Meant to type this during the Pro Bowl. 1010 is airing Westwood Ones coverage of the NFL all star game....just under a minute to go in the first half..play underway and Peyton Manning throws an intereception ----- one second dead air....then Westwood Ones coverage of the Winter Olympics continues.....its their standard three or four minute wrap....then, the board op...with a public school education* ...brings back the NFL Pro Bowl coverage...

*if you were a regular listener to the old sports radio 1010, you ll understand that reference.....

The Olympic Hockey package was a seperate offering from Westwood One and not part of the Olympics coverage package. 1010 probably took a pass on it. If they did, the package would then be first offered to the local NHL rights holder in market.
