Oh, I don't know, it's getting HD-2 exposure via Los Angeles and Atlanta. Couple other markets have it on HD-2 as well.

It might actually gain steam.
______________

Now, are we talking a traditional AAA format, or the watered-down AC/AAA one's we've been hearing for 10+ years?

I'd like to hear the former, but don't have the money at the moment to get an HD radio (for home or car).

Are the listeners of AAA abandoning the watered down formats for satellite radio. I've forsaken WCLZ and have discovered XM's Loft, Cafe and Hear music. Their playlists are much deeper.

I've had XM (no longer) and those 3 channels are fine EXCEPT they're not a traditional (if that word can be applied to the genre) AAA "station" as they play no older AAA-type cuts mixed in also with some deeper classic rock tracks that "Classic Rock" stations forgot about. I am really looking forward to technology to catch up and make Internet radio available in the car. In the meantime, three over-the-air stations that stream (at a high speed) I recommend you check out (if you already haven't):

Colorado's Underground Voice (Americana)--

http://www.kcuvradio.com/

Radio Woodstock, NY --

http://www.wdst.com/

A true AAA Colorado station in the Vail/Breckenridge area "Krystal 93"

http://www.krystal93.com/listen.php

And of course there's my favorite Internet stations- RadioParadise.com and WOXY.com
Edited by SuperRadioFan on 03/21/06 05:51 PM.

I noticed that the Average for an AAA station is around 2.5 to 3.0 so it is probably stable.

I can listen to WTMD - Baltimore, WRNR- Annapolis, WXPN- Philly here in eastern MD. They all seem to be doing fairly good as they've been around for years.
