I know its been a while since the change, but when and why did KIOI change from calling themselves K101 to Star 101.3?

It changed when they flipped the format to 80's. They evolved it back to HOT AC and never changed the name back to K101. The format is not quite the same either.

It changed when they flipped the format to 80's. They evolved it back to HOT AC and never changed the name back to K101. The format is not quite the same either.

Yes, and if I remember correctly, they flipped to 80s in the Summer, or maybe Fall, of 2000.
