I'll add two succesful TV campaigns that worked.
"Designing Women" was yanked from the air in 1987 after CBS moved the show all over the place and felt the ratings weren't there. A HUGE campaign saved the show, and it went on for five more seasons.
"Cagney And Lacey" had the same problems in 1983..the show was cancelled. There was a HUGE letter writing campaign and at the same time after the show was gone, it won an Emmy! They brought it back for 4 more seasons.
I agree about many ways to send a message....however, being that I was in a similar position regarding dance music, the best way to approach it is to go PRO -oldies...NOT anti-Infinity or anti-CBS. That's where the focus has to lie and I hope oldies fans can understand that.
